Introduction and Trials for Georgians Tennis Academy (GTA) Programmes

GTA welcomes players of all ages and levels into its programmes and looks to ensure that players are placed into the right squads in order to have the best development and playing experience:

On applying to join a specific squad GTA will ensure that:

- If there is a place in the squad, players will receive a free 30-minute trial, where the lead coach will assess the players overall standard. If of the appropriate standard, the player may be asked to stay for the remainder of the session and then sign up for the term.

- If the player is not suitable for the squad they are trialling for, they will not finish the remainder of the sessions and they will be given advice and an alternative squad in which they can enrol.

- If a player cannot attend the specific trial session they can attend on a Saturday morning to one of the operating squads and receive their assessment.

- If a squad is full, suitable players will be placed on a waiting list until a space becomes available.

- For performance squads, (which are by invitation only), players must meet the following criteria.

o Be registered as an LTA player and have a competition profile which shows they are competing in a minimum of 30 matches per year.

o Have an LTA ranking (or relevant LTA recenet form score) to the level of the squad they are joining

o Be training on a regular basis.

GTA will endeavour to provide opportunity to all interested players in the form of individual lessons, PODS and squads in order that players have a welcoming and safe environment in which to train compete and enjoy themselves.
